Celebrate America! Reminder - Enter Your Hours by June 1

Over the past three years DAR members have been challenged to give back to their communities through the Celebrate America! initiative. Prior to this administration many members were already very active in service projects in their community, but the initiative inspired them to do even more and for those who were less involved in service projects it served as a perfect opportunity to get involved and make a difference. And have you ever!

In February, I announced that you had hit the 12.5 million hour goal. I then asked that you continue your service to see how high the tally could soar. During the Opening Night Ceremony of our 125^th Continental Congress we will reveal the final number of Celebrate America! hours for the entire administration.

In order to calculate this final number, we are asking members to enter their service hours in the online tally by June 1.

Many have asked if Celebrate America! will continue into the next administration. I can tell you that there will be a service committee and they will be tracking hours.

Thank you so much for taking on the Celebrate America! initiative and making a huge impact on your communities and on those around you. I cannot wait to see what our final number will be!
