The DAR Special Projects Grants Program provides financial support to projects in local communities that exemplify the mission of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) to promote historic preservation, education and patriotism. To accomplish this, NSDAR will make grants available to fund initiatives in these three mission areas.
Examples of grant funding include:
Funding for these grants is provided through the President General’s Project.
Only public charity 501(c)(3) entities may apply. Only one grant funding will be awarded to an entity during any consecutive three year period.
Grants of $1,000 - $2,000 are encouraged, with a maximum amount of $10,000. Applicants are required to match the grant award 1:1 in order to allow for broader distribution of funds. Matching funds are not required to originate with the organization applying for the grant, but may originate with multiple donors or completed fundraising.
